REQUIREMENTS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide swim instruction based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Assess pre-lesson and post-lesson progress according to the swim level objectives provided, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
• Effectively communicate progress and feedback to students and their parents or guardians, ensure customer satisfaction
• Inspect pool areas before and after  classes for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Report issues to management as appropriate
• Place and remove lane lines, perform light cleaning duties around pool deck
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility and communicate the rules of the facility
• Ensure that medical services are contacted by appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service
• Provide swim instructions based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
• Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Assist with closing and securing the facility

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic computer database experience including Excel
  • Preferred bilingual speaking ability (Polish or Spanish)
  • Availability to work weekday afternoon shifts (3:30-9pm) as well as one weekend day shift (8am-3pm)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Check-in and organize students for proper class placement within the pool deck area, ensure students enter and exit class on-time as well as keep area clean, safe and organized for families. Sanitize equipment on pool deck as necessary.
  • Take attendance of the students and communicate with Head Receptionist regarding absent students
  • Organize and sanitize equipment for swim instructors throughout the shift
  • Assist with processing in-person enrollments
  • Ability to help/teach beginner-level swim lessons as needed (full training provided)
  • Perform various cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe facility
  • Executing transactions of retail goods for sale at the facility
  • Basic knowledge of software functionality (training provided)
  • Ability to answer phone calls as needed
  • Lifeguard/CPR certification should be obtained within 60 days of hiring (training provided either in-house or off-site, cost of the certification will be reimbursed)

• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed
• Ability to multi-task and organize multiple employees and shifts
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Lifeguard and/or Lifeguard Instructor certifications are required (within the first 90 days of hire – can be provided in-house)

• Manage the daily operations of school for assigned shifts
• Manage the swim instructors and lifeguards to ensure a positive team environment and excellent performance
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare pool deck area for the shift
• Coordinate staff substitutions for classes when needed
• Act as a substitute swim instructor when necessary
• Assess and Manage student skill tracking to ensure proper reporting and progress
• Submit Daily Reports after each shift
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents during shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain content calendar that delivers across various social channels.
• Analyze channel performance data.
• Conduct page optimization for increasing traffic and improving ranking utilizing on-page elements such as title tag, meta description, URL, headings, and images.
